Yesterday evening I got back home from Linuxforum day 2. There was some nice talks, and I saw the Google geek herder fall off the stage. I also got a nice introduction to Qt.
Finally I saw a spam fighting deathmatch. Among the serious competitors, a pseudo-icelandic guy also joined in. A short post-presentation (in danish though, but you might get the meaning of it anyway), but you might find the principles. Find it at YouTube. Anyways, there was funny presentations of policyd (with and without the -weight), dspam, annoyance filter, milter and postgrey. As it was most a matter of funny presentation and the technical details were more secondary, it was more a person than a product that won. The winner was Ralf Hildebrandt with .. something (policyd either with or without the -weight).
No open source events without beer, so there was after the spam contest, a couple of nice beer.
It was basically a nice Linuxforum – and I am looking forward for next year.
But it was also a bit ‘interesting’ if it was possible to get to linux forum, just like yesterday, because some violent criminals and spoiled younsters have tried to set large parts of the streets on fire in Copenhagen.
